The Large-Scale Community Benchmarking Survey is designed to provide financial and operational performance metrics for large-scale community associations. This comprehensive study is designed to bring large-scale communities the information they need to identify trends and comparative information their community can use to assist in making crucial decisions to drive community growth and satisfaction. This survey is a valuable tool for large-scale managers seeking to benchmark their community association against a series of key performance indicators in the community association industry, including revenue, expenses, and operational trends.
This project will provide an interesting snapshot of the field, and enhance our understanding of this growing and dynamic industry. The information in this survey represents complete, accurate, and up-to-date data on large-scale community associations. The survey offers large-scale managers an exclusive platform to compare their financial and operational data with other communities. Large-scale managers who complete the survey will be able to log into the platform anytime to access the data and download customizable reports into Excel and PowerPoint.
The Foundation for Community Association Research works with community association industry experts to formulate the content and structure of the survey. Definition of a large-scale community
For the purpose of this survey, all elements listed below must be met for a community to be considered to be large-scale:
- A single, contiguous community association with an on-site, full time manager
- A minimum of 1,000 units or a minimum of 1,000 acres
- Provides municipal-type services, such as recreation, stormwater management, roadway maintenance, and neighborhood security.
- A minimum annual operating budget of 2 million dollars
